Eucalyptus smithii is mild and suitable for use with children and the elderly. It has a rich, pungent scent and is good for the respiratory system. Eucalyptus has strong antiseptic properties. It is also mentally and physically stimulating and can be helpful for fatigue, especially when recovering from coughs, colds and flu.
Aromatherapy/Home Use example:
To ease breathing during colds or sinusitis, diffuse Eucalyptus, Tea Tree and Cedarwood in an aroma diffuser in a room, or on a pendant locket diffuser.
Safety: Not compatible with homeopathic treatment. Avoid use if pregnant. Eucalyptus oil is toxic if taken internally, and can be fatal. Externally, it is nontoxic and nonirritant (in dilution).
