Palo Santo (bursera graveolens) from Peru, also known as 'Holy Wood', has a woody aroma with a slight hint of citrus, and underlying notes reminiscent of frankincense. It is distilled in small quantities from wood gathered on Peru's Pacific Coast, protected by the national government, fair-trade, and is harvested under strict conditions.
The indigenous people use it as an insect repellant, for removing negative energies from a space, for increasing energy vibrations, for increasing circulation, for fear, anxiety, grief, stress, colds, flu, asthma, arthritis, rheumatism, muscular aches & pains.
Use in a diffuser, or dilute with a carrier oil for massage, or with our aromatherapy lockets.
Palo Santo combines well with other citrus or wood oils.
Safety: May be a skin irritant to hypersensitive or allergy-prone individuals. Avoid during pregnancy.
